Yes, another marathon, two weeks after Paris, we did the Manchester marathon, oh we did a cross-country 10K in between, because are mad. We stayed at our usual hotel in Manchester, and this is where we met Lucien and his daughter Jessice at last year’s Manchester marathon and have become firm friends, and he redesigned our website and looks after it for us. This year the start and finish line had change a lot, but we knew how to get to the start line, and we had to catch the tram back, bit of a mission that was with thousands of other runners trying to do the same, but we made it happen. The crowds in Manchester are just so enthusiastic, Chloe loves all the shouts, cheers and clapping as we run past them all. The weather was really hot, so I had to take on extra fluids for me and for Chloe, she also had her snack on route to, we also took our time because of the heat as we wanted to finish and what a fantastic finish we had as we crossed the line, huge cheers and loads of clapping, already signed up for next years.
As you have gathered, we do crazy things, so we also did the Virtual London Marathon on the same day, we have got the medals to, they are awesome. Chloe usually asks every morning if we are going to a hotel, something she enjoys but also, she knows this means we are likely to be racing at some point, which she loves and lives for. We haven’t stopped racing, we have been out nearly every weekend, have clocked up loads of miles and the medal tally has got bigger and still more to come.
